This product is made by aging raw shochu—aged from 100% organic brown sugar produced in-house—in barrels used to age red wine.
The raw shochu is a blend of our 2003–2010 vintages aged in storage tanks throughout the four seasons of Kikaijima Island. After blending, they are aged in separate barrels and transformed into well-rounded shochu with rich flavors.
The sweet aroma derived from the brown sugar, subtle vanilla scent, and smooth texture is reminiscent of illustrious fine red wines. Regardless of it being served on the rocks, mixed with water, or diluted to your preferred strength, the unique aromas of the barrels will amplify the aged flavors of the brown sugar. Additionally, the rich taste of the raw shochu is highly recommended as a relaxing drink after a meal.
